  • Rather than is followed by a gerund or an infinitive without to, as in “Rather than eating out, I prefer to cook dinner at home.”

  • Feel like is followed by a gerund, as in “I don’t feel like eating Japanese food.”

  • After like, love and hate, English can use either the infinitive with to or the gerund, as in “I like to cook” and “I like cooking.”

📌 Sensible means sensato, whereas sensitive means sensível.

  • “I like Chinese food” is answered with “So do I,” while “I don’t like Chinese food” is answered with “Neither do I.”
