1. Liberté naturelle et habitude

  • Habitude : Habitude : répétition des comportements qui finit par rendre la domination acceptable et “normale”.
  • Soumission : Soumission : fait d’accepter le commandement d’autrui au lieu d’exercer sa liberté.

  • Les hommes naissent libres, mais l’habitude peut leur faire accepter la domination.
  • La coutume agit comme un mécanisme d’oubli : elle remplace le souvenir de la liberté par l’acceptation de la soumission.
