Tracheostomy tubes: artificial airway devices inserted into the trachea, which are susceptible to obstruction by mucus or foreign bodies, requiring careful monitoring.

Apnea monitors: devices used to monitor respiratory function, particularly in premature infants at risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs): mechanical pumps supporting the ventricles of the heart, which can make pulse palpation difficult and necessitate CPR readiness.
