1. Probabilité conditionnelle

  • Probabilité conditionnelle : La probabilité conditionnelle mesure la probabilité d’un événement B une fois qu’on sait que l’événement A est réalisé.
  • Notation P_A(B) : P_A(B) désigne la probabilité de B sachant que A est réalisé, c’est-à-dire une probabilité calculée dans le cadre restreint à A.
  • Événements contraires : Deux événements contraires, notés A et Ā, vérifient qu’ils couvrent tout l’univers Ω sans se recouper.

Points essentiels

  • Pour P(A)>0, on calcule P_A(B) = P(A ∩ B) / P(A) pour la probabilité de B sachant A réalisé.
  • On ne confond pas P_A(B) et P_B(A) : elles correspondent à deux conditions différentes.
  • Dans le cas de l’événement contraire, P_A(B̅) est la probabilité de ne pas réaliser B sachant A.
