What makes a multiple-choice question worth answering

A good question tests whether you understand an idea, not whether you recognize a phrase. The wrong options should be believable, and the explanation should say exactly why the right one is right.

Distractors that could fool you

In the first demo question, every option describes a real kind of worker. Only one fits the definition of unemployed. You can’t get it by spotting the odd one out, you have to know the definition.

No giveaways

Wrong options are written to be the same kind of answer as the right one, in the same grammatical form, and without cue words like “always” or “never” unless your material uses them. Two options never say the same thing. If a question still gives itself away, skip it: the point is to practice the real thing, not to beat the test.

An explanation for every answer

The explanation is where you learn something when you get a question wrong. Each one says why the correct option works and, when it helps, why the most tempting wrong option doesn’t.

For students first

Revizly is built for students quizzing themselves on their own class material. Teachers can use it to draft practice questions from their notes, but it isn’t a classroom test platform with grading or student rosters.

If you’re a student, the questions sit next to your study guide and flashcards for the same class, and your answers show which topics need more work. If you’re a teacher looking for an exam builder with question banks and gradebooks, a dedicated assessment tool will fit better.

Is the question generator free?

Yes, the free plan covers 2 classes a month with a 4-question preview for each, and your first class is made in full. Paid plans give you full question sets and new sets on demand.
